Lately, I’ve gotten a few custom orders honoring favorite pets. I love doing these projects, especially when they are given as gifts, because I feel like I’m helping to honor their memory and their love.
The first is a happy Airedale. As you can see, I worked off of a photo that the owner sent me. I always ask clients to send me photos of what they’d like me to mimic. While the photo was a little different than I’m use to, I liked how the greenery jumped off the purple (also her choice).
The next is a sweet kitten that will be framed and given as a gift. For some reason, cats are a little more difficult for me, but this one turned out pretty well.
Finally, another gift for Mother’s Day. I was able to be a little more creative with this one, working off a photo of a horse walking (which proves difficult, but not impossible). I’m still doing the finishing touches to this, but the gift giver is quite excited to present this soon.
